Measurement Studio Hotfix-3LIB9P56 Readme

This file contains important information about the issues that were fixed for the Measurement 
Studio User Interface controls in this hotfix.

Issues Fixed
 
   - MAX controls not updated correctly with NI-IMAQ or NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 MAX interface. 
     Acquisition settings typically revert to (0, 0 , 8, 1) with 0ms timeout.      
   - Editing the CWNumEdit's value does not commit the new value when the Enter key is pressed.

Hotfix Installation Instructions

Note: Installing the hotfix requires replacing the cwui.ocx in your <windows folder>\system32 folder. 
You can backup the existing version of the cwui.ocx on your system if you need to undo the changes 
in the future.

1. Verify that the version of cwui.ocx installed on your system is lower than 7.1.0.313. You can 
   verify the file version by right-clicking on the cwui.ocx and selecting Properties. Click 
   on the Version tab to view the version. This file is 
   typically located at <windows folder>\system32\cwui.ocx.

2. If the version is lower than 7.1.0.313, copy the newer cwui.ocx included in this patch over 
   the existing cwui.ocx.

3. Register cwui.ocx using the "regsvr32" command from the command prompt, providing the full 
   path to the new cwui.ocx. For example, if your Windows folder is c:\winnt, you can run the 
   following command at the command prompt: 

   "regsvr32 C:\winnt\system32\cwui.ocx" 

4. If you have Measurement Studio installed and need to deploy applications using the newer 
   version of the cwui.ocx, copy cwui_ocx.msm to your merge module folder, commonly located 
   under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules. This will overwrite the existing 
   version of the cwui_ocx.msm on the merge module folder.

Hotfix Removal Instructions

1. To revert the hotfix, copy the backed up version of the cwui.ocx over the cwui.ocx included 
   with this hotfix.

2. Register cwui.ocx using the "regsvr32" command from the command prompt, providing the 
   full path to the cwui.ocx. For example, if your Windows folder is c:\winnt, you can 
   run the following command at the command prompt: 

   "regsvr32 C:\winnt\system32\cwui.ocx" 

If you have Measurement Studio, you can find the replaced versions of the cwui_ocx.msm and 
the cwui.ocx in the ReDist folder on your "Measurement Studio Support for Visual Studio 6.0" CD.
