对于有三个SP版本的LabVIEW，每个版本的-NI-RIO都支持，例如，NI-RIO 4.0是伴随着LabVIEW 2011发布的，所以，它支持LabVIEW 2011，2010SP1，2009SP1以及8.6.1，它并不支持LabVIEW 2010或者2009，LabVIEW 2010需要NI-RIO3.5.1，而2009需要NI-RIO 3.3，3.2.1或者3.2
需要注意的是，在NI-RIO 4.1与NI-RIO 12.0之间并没有中间版本，从LabVIEW 2012开始，驱动版本的数字与相关联的的LabVIEW版本相同
