Issue Details

I am creating an installer for distributing a Vision Acquisition application to multiple computers. Within the installer configuration on Additional Installers I am adding the LabVIEW Runtime Engine and the Vision Development Module Runtime Engine.

Why won't my vision application run on the target computers?

Solution

The Vision Development Module performs only image processing. For image acquisition you will need Vision Acquisition Software.

Currently there is no Vision Acquisition Runtime Engine, so you will need to add via Additional Installers one of the complete set of drivers from the Vision Acquisition Software (NI-IMAQ,NI-IMAQdx or NI-IMAQ I/O), depending on the hardware that you are using in your application. To identify the correct driver to add, see Differences Between NI-IMAQ, NI-IMAQdx, and NI-IMAQ I/O .

Additional Information

For any application that runs IMAQdx, you will need a license for each computer that runs the application
