Why Aren't The Ready Lights On My Field Point Modules On?

I'm reconfiguring a FieldPoint installation where I know the hardware worked previously.  I have a FP-2000 with a FP-AI-111, FP-AO-200, FP-DO-401, and a FP-TC-120.  I reset the FP-2000 and got it connected to the network (i.e. MAX).  My problem is that when I use MAX to find my devices it returns with a time out.  When I check the status of the modules only the FP-DO-401 has it's Ready light lit.  What does it mean when the Ready light doesn't come on?  Why can't I see the FP-DO-401 even thouigh the Ready light is lit?

Thanks for hour help!

Hi!
I once had this problem.  I could see "ready" LED on from the first module to the 3rd (i.e. optomux addresses 1, 2, 3 if FP-1001 is zero), from the fourth module on, there was "ready" LED off.  We found that backplane bus, which connects on terminal bases, had a pin damaged, so backplane bus was interrupt.

Obviously, we can't say that this is your case, but I suggest to check that terminal bases are properly connected and all PINs are OK.

   Hope it helps!

I had a very similar problem interfacing to the Field  Point modules. The connection was intermittent and the ready lights would cycle off and on. I disabled my firewall and the problem went away.

Hi,
Those are good suggestions.  Also make sure you have proper software installed on your FieldPoint controller.  Is the status LED flashing on the controller?
