An Error Occurred While Installing LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit

Issue Details

  • When I try to install the Database Connectivity Toolkit as standalone or through the LabVIEW online installer, I get the following error message.
    An error occurred while installing a package: ni-labview-2020-database-toolkit (20.0.0.49155-0+f3)
    Please check your Internet connection and try again.

 
  • When I try to install the Database Connectivity Toolkit using the offline installer, the installation fails. The local NI Package Manager logs display the following error message.
    -125530: An error occurred while installing the MSI at 'LVDBT00\LVDBT202064.msi'. Error 1919.  Error configuring ODBC data source: LabVIEW, ODBC error 11: Driver's ConfigDSN, ConfigDriver, or ConfigTranslator failed. Verify that the file LabVIEW exists and that you can access it.

 

Solution

This behaviour may be caused if the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable (64-bits) package is not installed on your computer. To proceed with the installation of the software, try the following steps:
  1. Download and install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable Download (External Link).
  2. Reboot the computer.
  3. Try installing the Database Connectivity Toolkit again.
If the issue persists, contact NI Support with the NI Package Manager logs.

Additional Information

While installing the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable (64-bits) you may get the error: 
You cannot install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 because you currently have 32-bit Office products installed
