NI-488.2 for Windows Version 2.0 is a RT driver offering from National Instruments. Every attempt has been made to maintain backward compatibility with the installed base of existing NI-488.2 applications.
If you are using a version of LabVIEW RT other than 6.1, you should load NI-488.2 from the National Instruments Driver CD that came with your copy of LabVIEW RT. This CD contains the most recent version of NI-488.2 for LabVIEW RT as well as all other National Instruments driver software.
Note this installer does not install NI-488.2 for Windows. If you are not using LabVIEW Real Time, refer to the appropriate NI-488.2 driver in the Drivers and Updates pages. If you want both the driver for Windows and the driver for the LabVIEW Real Time controller, run both installers.

ISA Support
NI-488.2 for LabVIEW Real Time, Version 2.0 supports plug-in PXI GPIB interfaces as well as the built-in PCI-compatible GPIB interfaces on PXI controllers (PXI-8176 and later). It does not directly support the built-in ISA-compatible GPIB interface on the PXI-8146 and PXI-8156/8156B PXI controllers. You may need to transition between these two types of interfaces on a periodic and ongoing basis. Version 2.0 includes install scripts to make this task easier. To change from ISA to PCI support or vice versa, follow the instructions in the ReadMe file after you have run this installer.
