Is the Old SCXI-1000 Jumperless Chassis Supported by the Most Recent Version of NI-DAQ?

Hardware: SCXI>>Chassis>>SCXI-1000

Problem:
I am using the SCXI-1000 jumperless chassis from the early 1990's. I recently updated my NI-DAQ version because I am using a newer Data Acquisition (DAQ) board. Is this older chassis still supported by the latest versions of NI-DAQ (6.9.2 or greater)?

Solution:
The jumperless SCXI-1000 chassis is still supported by the most recent versions of NI-DAQ. The installation steps for this chassis and SCXI modules should be no different than with a newer SCXI-1000. The only limitation is that you are not able to daisy chain multiple chassis since you are unable to manually set the chassis address.

Please note that some older SCXI-1000 chassis actually do have jumper settings for the address, but the jumpers are hidden behind the front panel of slot 0. To check to see if your chassis is actually jumperless, verify that the part number contains the letter B, C, or D, or it does not contain a letter at all.

If your SCXI-1000 chassis has the hidden jumpers, you may access them by following the procedure shown on page 2-11 of the June 1996 edition of the SCXI Chassis User Manual linked below.
