Do I Need to Use the Same Version of NI-DAQ for Remote Data Acquisition?

Problem:
I would like to do remote data acquisition (RDA) across two computers. Should both computers have the same version of NI-DAQ?

Solution:
Both computers must have the same version of NI-DAQ to do remote data acquisition (RDA). If you have different versions, then you will not be able to make a connection to the other computer, regardless of whether or not you can see the other computer over the network.
