Why Do I Receive Error 126 When Running a VI on My Touch Panel or PDA Device?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Touch Panel Module
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Industrial Communications>>HMI and Industrial PC

Problem:
My touch panel or PDA is automatically detected by ActiveSync, and my VI deploys to the target without any errors. When I try to run the VI from my host, I receive the following error message:

When I manually download the application to the target and run it, I receive the following error message indicating that I am missing libraries:

Solution:
These error messages indicate that you are missing a DLL. A touch panel application requires the following DLLs to run:
  • COREDLL.DLL
  • WINSOCK.DLL
  • COMMCTRL.DLL
  • AYGSHELL.DLL
  • WS2.DLL
Make sure that these DLLs are present on the operating system image of the device. If you are using any sort of touch panel evaluation kit, it is very possible that these DLLs are not installed.

If your application involves DAQmx Base calls, you may need to reinstall DAQmx Base support on your device:
  1. Go to Start»Programs»National Instruments»NI-DAQmx Base»Utilities
  2. Choose the appropriate driver installation for your device (for example, for a PDA choose Windows Mobile Driver Installation)
  3. Click Yes to confirm the re-installation:
  4. Click Yes to install to the default application directory
  5. Follow the prompts on your device to confirm the re-installation of the driver
