Why do I get Error Failed to Load Shared Library Blockdataapi When Deploying an Application which uses NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access?

Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Add-ons>>Real-Time Module
Primary Software Version: 8.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
Why do I get error Failed to load shared library blockdataapi when deploying an application which uses NI Scan Engine?

Solution:
This error is caused when the supported real-time target, such as RT Series PXI and CompactRIO, has not had software support installed for the NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access 1.0. This support is currently in addition to NI Scan Engine support.

For more information on NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access software component and to download the NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access API please refer to Developer Zone Tutorial: NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access.

To install support for the Advanced I/O Access API on the target must be done using Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Expand the target under Remote Devices, right-click on Software and select Add/Remove Software. Select Custom Software installation and install component called NI Scan Engine Advanced I/O Access 1.0.

For more information about NI Scan Engine please refer to Developer Zone Tutorial: Using NI CompactRIO Scan Mode with NI LabVIEW Software. For more information about hardware support of NI Scan Engine please refer to Developer Zone Tutorial: C Series Modules Supported by CompactRIO Scan Mode.
