Why Do I Get Unexpected Data from my USB-9237 if I Include Channel 3 in my DAQmx Task?

Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Portable>>USB-9237

Problem:
I am using a NI 9237 in a USB-9162 carrier. Whenever I try to read data from any DAQmx task that includes channel 3, I get unexpected/invalid data on all channels. When I exclude channel 3 from the task, all other channels read correctly. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Solution:
The following combination factors will cause this behavior:
  • Creating a DAQmx task that includes channel 3 on the NI-9237 in a USB-9162 carrier
  • Using NI-DAQmx driver versions 8.8 or 8.9
This issue has been fixed in NI-DAQmx versions 8.9.5 and newer.  To correct this behavior, please upgrade to a newer version of NI-DAQmx or install one of the patches below depending on your current version of NI-DAQmx.  To verify your current driver version and determine if an upgrade is necessary, open up Measurement & Automation Explorer and expand the Software section.

DAQmx Patches:
USB-9237 Patch for NI-DAQmx 8.8
USB-9237 Patch for NI-DAQmx 8.9

Note: These patches are not WHQL signed, and should only be installed when using the NI 9237 with the USB carrier. After installing this patch, administrative privileges may be required when installing some National Instruments USB devices on the system.
