Problem: I have an application developed in Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) with PCI/PXI multifunction DAQ devices and I need to support my application in 32-bit Windows 7. I am rewriting my code to support NI-DAQmx, but in the meantime I want to temporarily use Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) in Windows 7. Is there a temporary solution? Solution: Preliminary testing shows that the the Windows Vista beta driver for Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) works with Windows 7. This driver is unsupported and should not be seen as a permanent solution. All of the caveats of the Windows Vista driver also apply to Windows 7. Note: The Traditional NI-DAQ Beta driver will not work on Windows 7 64-bit versions. This is due largely with the architecture differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit systems. If the installer is ran on a 64-bit system, the installer will notify the user that the driver can only install on 32-bit systems and abort the install.
