Why is the Pager Object Crashing Lookout? Primary Software: LookoutPrimary Software Version: 5.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software:
Problem: I am using Lookout 5.0 to send a page to a pager when an alarm occurs. For some reason, Lookout is crashing on occasion when I send the page. Why is this happening? Solution: National Instruments has verified this behavior and provides an update for Lookout 5.0 that eliminates it. Follow the link below to the Drivers and Updates for Lookout 5.0 and follow the instructions in the Readme.txt to apply the fixes. What is happening is that the message field of the Pager object expects an expression or a constant text string with quotation marks around it. Without the update, if a constant text string message is sent without the quotation marks, the Pager Object causes Lookout to crash. With the update, this will no longer occur.
