What Function Do the Switches on the 7831R Provide?

Hardware: Reconfigurable I/O (RIO)>>R Series>>PCI-7831R, Reconfigurable I/O (RIO)>>R Series>>PXI-7831R

Problem: There are 3 switches on SW1 of the 7831R. What is the function of each switch?

Solution: As stated in the manual for the 7831R, switch 1 can prevent a VI stored in the flash memory from loading during power up. Switches 2 and 3 are not connected and therefore have no function.

To prevent a VI stored in the flash memory from loading during power up:
  1. Power off the PXI chassis or PCI computer.
  2. Remove the 7831R from the chassis or computer.
  3. Move switch 1 to the ON position.
  4. Reinsert the 7831R into the chassis or computer.
  5. Power on the chassis or computer.
