Why Is The NI PCI-6518 Detected By Windows in a Phoenix Contact DV-OPC5515 Industrial Computer But Not In Measurement & Automation Explorer?Hardware: Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PCI-6518
Problem: I have installed an NI PCI-6518 in my computer; it is detected by Windows but is not detected by Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) in a Phoenix Contact DV-OPC5515 Industrial Computer. I reinstalled the driver but the problems remains. I reinstalled all the software and then installed the hardware again but this won't solve the problem. Why is this happening? Solution: The NI PCI-6518 requires +5 V and +3.3 V supplies from the PCI bus. The PCI bus of this specific inductrial computer doesn't supply the +3.3 V required for the device to work properly. For this reason, the board may be detected by Windows but the functionality of the board will not be available, and as a consequence you won't be able to see it in MAX.
