My Evaluation AT-GPIB/TNT Interface Does Not Pass IBDIAG

Problem: The AT-GPIB/TNT evaluation interface has the TNT4882 chip (only a Talker/Listener, NOT a Controller) and is usually sold with a developer's kit. If you try to verify the health of the evaluation interface using a hardware diagnostic test (ibdiag) from a regular driver (e.g., version 2.7.1 of NI-488.2 for Windows 3.x), the test will fail with a base I/O conflict error.

Solution: The hardware diagnostic test from the regular driver is setup for the TNT4882C chips (the controller chips) not the TNT4882 evaluation chips. There is an ibdiag included with the TNT4882 Developer Kit (P/N 776866-01) for use with the evaluation boards. This version of ibdiag is located on the disk EISA Configuration and Diagnostic Disk for TNT4882 Evaluation Board (P/N 413117-103). Use the hardware diagnostic test from the software included with the developer's kit.
