Problem: I am using Visual Basic to communicate with the FieldPoint OPC server via the OPC Automation API created by the OPC Foundation (see link below). I would like to know the meaning of the Error codes returned by the FieldPoint OPC server. Solution: Attached below is a list of all of the OPC error codes that OPC servers can return. Because OPC is a standard, the FieldPoint OPC server can only return the error codes defined in the specifications. Additional information on the error codes can be found at Microsoft's web site (see link below). Any error codes outside of this list are not from the FieldPoint OPC server and you may contact the OPC Foundation (linked below) for error codes related to the OPCDAAuto.dll.
