VirtualBench 2.0 Does Not Recognize My PCI-6031E Board Primary Software: Other NI Software>>VirtualBenchPrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have VirtualBench 2.0 and it worked fine with NI-DAQ 6.5.0 and an AT-MIO-64E-3 board, but then I replaced my board with a PCI-6031E board. The new board is detected by the Measurement & Automation Explorer, it passes its tests, and I can configure it properly, but when I try to use VirtualBench-Logger, I get a "No Hardware is configured" message and VirtualBench does not start. I tried reinstalling NI-DAQ 6.5.0 and Virtual Bench 2.0, but that did not make any difference. Solution: The problem is that VirtualBench 2.0 was released before the PCI-6031 was created, so it does not recognize the board as a hardware device that it should support. VirtualBench 2.0 had a number of board names hard-coded into it, but later versions of VirtualBench access hardware information through the NI-DAQ driver. VirtualBench 2.0 will not work with this board. VirtualBench 2.5.1 does, and will require the installation of NI-DAQ 6.5.2 and NI-VISA 2.0.1 to run properly Related Links: Attachments:
