Running Hardware Configuration Utility on PCMCIA-CAN Card Gives NI-DNET ErrorHardware: Industrial Communications>>CAN>>PCMCIA-CAN
Problem: When I run the Hardware Configuration Utility on my PCMCIA-CAN card, I obtain the following error: "The NI-DNET software does not support hardware shipped with older NI-CAN kits. If you wish to use NI-DNET, contact NI to upgrade your CAN hardware." What's causing this error? Solution: The older PCMCIA-CAN cards (revision A and B) do not support the NI-DNET protocol stack, and you therefore will not be able to successfully run the Hardware Configuration Utility on this hardware. To determine what revision you have, check the part number on your hardware. The letter refers to the revision of your hardware. If you have revision A or B, please contact National Instruments to upgrade to the latest revision of the PCMCIA-CAN cards. Related Links: Attachments:
