Glitchy Images when Acquiring from an IEEE for 1394 Camera Using IMAQdx Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQdxPrimary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I grab images using the IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras or IMAQdx drivers, portions of the video feed occasionally shift or glitch. If the camera outputs Bayer encoded images, the colors also change in the shifted areas as shown in the attached image [glitch bayer image/png]. How do I correct this? Solution: This behavior is usually caused by some form of packet corruption between the camera and IEEE 1394 interface card that is used. Try decreasing the packet size setting found in the Acquisition Attributes tab of the firewire camera that is listed in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
