Building Executables from the Tools menu in LabVIEW Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Application BuilderPrimary Software Version: 8.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Problem: In previous versions of LabVIEW, I would build executables of my VIs by navigating to Tools»Build Executable. In LabVIEW 8.5 this option is not available. Solution: This navigation option has been removed as of LabVIEW 8.5. In LabVIEW 8.0 and 8.2, the Tools»Build Executable would prompt you to create a project, if you had not already done so. Then, it would load the properties of the Build Specification for the executable stored within that project. To create an executable in LabVIEW 8.5, you must create a build specification from your project directly.
