VXIpc 850 and VXIpc 860 Series SCSI Configuration
Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers>>VXIpc-850, VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers>>VXIpc-860
Problem: I have a VXIpc 850/860 and need to configure it. How can I configure it for my operating system?
Solution: Follow the steps below for the applicable operating system.
Windows 95/98
Windows 95/98 should automatically detect and configure the SCSI interface once it has been enabled in the BIOS.
To manually configure the SCSI interface:
- Double click on the Add New Hardware icon in the Windows Control Panel
- Select the Have Disk option and browse to the c:\images\scsi\win95 directory
- Reboot the System
Windows NT
Windows NT should automatically detect and configure the SCSI interface once it has been enabled in the BIOS.
To manually configure the SCSI interface:
- Double click on the SCSI Adapters icon in the Windows Control Panel
- Select the Add button from the Drivers tab.
- Select the Have Disk option and browse to the c:\images\scsi\winnt directory
- Reboot the System
DOS/Windows 3.x
Install SCSI support by running the Install program from the c:\images\scsi\doswin32 directory and by enabling SCSI support in the BIOS.
VxWorks
Consult your VxWorks documentation or contact Wind River Systems technical support for information on configuring
the SCSI adapter. You must enable SCSI support in the BIOS.
