Programmatically Determine Serial Number of a Real-Time Target Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time ModulePrimary Software Version: 7.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Internet Developers Toolkit
Problem: I would like to programmatically determine the serial number of my real-time target. Is this possible from LabVIEW? Solution: Yes this is possible if you have the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit and download the Real-Time Target System Replication Tools. After Installing the Real-Time Target System Replication Tools there is a VI called Get Target Info(IP).vi in the following function palette User Libraries ยป RT System Replication . This VI returns a cluster of information. Of which, one object is the real-time targets serial number. If you install these components and have LabVIEW 7.1 or later you can open and run the attached example. The related links section has a link to the Real-Time Target System Replication Tools, KnowledgeBase about the Tools, and a link to the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit.
