After Restarting My SCXI Chassis My SCXI-1102 Returns Erroneous Data in LabWindows/CVI

Problem:
When LabWindows/CVI is open and I restart my SCXI chassis I receive erroneous data from my SCXI modules – including the SCXI-1102 thermocouple module. My SCXI is connected to my computer through an M-Series Data Acquisition card. How can I fix this problem?

Solution:
Open Measurement & Automation Explorer. Expand the Devices and Interfaces Tree and the NI-DAQmx Devices tree. Right click your M-Series card and select Reset. This will reinitialize your card and repair the problems caused by shutting down the SCXI chassis. An alternate method for resetting the device is to call the DAQmxResetDevice() function from LabWindows/CVI.
