Cannot Deploy a GPIB Instrument Driver as an Executable Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-488.2Primary Software Version: 2.5 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI>>IVI Compliance Package
Problem: I created an executable for a LabVIEW GPIB application. The application runs correctly on the deployment machine. When I run it on a target machine, the executable will not run. What is wrong? Solution: When you create an executable for a GPIB instrument driver, you need to make sure you have the correct drivers installed on the target machine. For a GPIB application, the NI-488.2 GPIB driver will need to be installed on the target computer. If the GPIB application is an IVI driver, you need to install the NI IVI Compliance Package. The IVI Compliance Package is a software package that contains IVI class drivers and the support libraries necessary for the development and use of applications that leverage IVI instrument interchangeability. The IVI Compliance Package also is based on and is compliant with the latest version of the instrument programming specifications defined by the IVI Foundation. Without the drivers, the executable will not deploy on the target machine. Related Links: Drivers and Updates: Instrument Drivers/IVI Compliance Package Drivers and Updates: NI 488.2 Attachments:
