Problem: I have a Compact Vision System (CVS) that I want to ping. Is it possible to ping the CVS by using its assigned name, instead of using its IP address? Solution: Yes, it is possible to ping your CVS by name. To verify this: 1. Click on Start » Run and type cmd. Select OK. 2. On the Command Prompt use the syntax “ping name” where 'name' is the assigned name of the CVS.
