Why Are Windows Mobile 5.0 Directories Not Accessible From File Dialog Using LabVIEW PDA? Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>PDA ModulePrimary Software Version: 8.0.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I set the Start Path for the File Dialog VI to the root directory of my PDA, but I cannot see any directories other than My Documents. Also, I cannot access my memory card through the File Dialog. Why? Solution: The LabVIEW File Dialog VI calls the file dialog directly from the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. The operating system does not allow the dialog to access directories farther up than My Documents in the Windows hierarchy. To see a memory card installed in your PDA through the file dialog, create a directory on the memory card. The file dialog will not provide access to an empty memory card, and you cannot create directories on a memory card through the file dialog.
