Settings for GPIB Device Templates Affecting Device-Level Calls

Hardware: GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-232CV-A, GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-232CT-A

Problem:
Do the settings made in GPIB Device Templates affect device-level calls?

Solution:
Settings made in GPIB Device Templates (or in gpibconf.exe) do NOT affect device-level calls; only board-level calls reference these settings.

Parameters that are settable in Device Templates can be set dynamically in programming with device-level calls such as ibdev, ibeos, etc.

In order to use the settings made in Device Templates, board-level calls to devices (i.e. ibfind DEVx) must be used.
