Why Do I Get Error -200452 When I Run Write Dig Chan-Int Clk-Dig Start.vi Using a USB-6259

Problem:
I receive Error -200452 with a possible reason of Specified property node is not supported by the device or is not applicable to the test. Is there an example vi similar to Write Dig Chan-Int Clk-Dig Start that would work with my NI 6259 without giving me this error?



Solution:
In the LabVIEW Getting Started Window, select Find Examples... Double-Click Hardware Input and Output»DAQmx»Digital Generation»Write Dig Chan - Ext Clk.vi

The reason why you are receiving this error is because the digital subsystem for the M Series devices does not have its own dedicated internal timing engine. Therefore, a sample clock must be provided from another subsystem on the device or an external source.
