Does the NI-9205/9206 Use the Linearization Coefficients When Returning Calibrated Data in LabVIEW FPGA?Hardware: CompactDAQ>>Analog Input Modules>>NI 9205
Problem: Are the Linearization Coefficients used to generate calibrated data for the NI-9205/9206 when the Calibration Mode is set to Calibrated in NI-RIO 2.4 and later? Solution: The NI-9205/9206 can return Linearization Coefficients from a property node. These Linearization Coefficients can be used in addition to the LSB Weight and Offset to convert the raw data to calibrated data within a Host VI. The Linearization Coefficients are completely optional when calculating calibrated data, and they compensate for some types of measurement nonlinearity in the device in order to achieve the accuracy documented in the NI-9205/9206 specifications. When returning calibrated data from the FPGA I/O Node in NI-RIO 2.4 and later, the Linearization Coefficients are not used to calculate the calibrated data. This means that the calibrated data returned in FPGA will not compensate for the measurement nonlinearities in the device.
