Switch Executive is Freezing Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)

Problem:
When I select one or more of my Switch Executive configurations in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to delete or modify them, my computer will freeze or give other symptoms that my configurations have become corrupted.  How can I remove them outside of MAX?

Solution:
The Switch Executive Configuration files are linked to MAX via the MAX database.  The same procedure used for a MAX database corruption can be used to delete the Switch Executive configurations.
