Calibration Executive Report Shows Failure when Software Indicates PassingPrimary Software: Calibration ExecutivePrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Hardware: Modular Instruments>>Digital Multimeters (DMM)>>PXI-4060
Problem: When I run a "verify only" on a device it will show as a green PASS but in the calibration executive report, it does not meet the "as Left" data (which are 24hr specifications), and thus will show FAILED. Why is this? Solution: First, a bit of background for calibration is that "as Found" refers to device calibration values when a calibration house receives the device. "As Left" refers to calibration values after it has been calibrated. (i.e. after a device has "left" the calibration house"). The "as Left" values for calibration will always be more strict than the "as Found", as the device should now be calibrated and be within specifications. The "as Found" specifications refer to the calibration values that the device should adhere to after a period of 1 year. When doing "Verify Only" in Calibration Executive, a device may show PASSED for "as Found" but FAILED for "as Left" because the 'as Found' specifications are based on the 1-year specifications, while the "as Left" specification are much tighter and based on a zero period time frame after calibration. Overall, this is letting you know that the card is within calibration for a 1-year period, but still not within original specifications.
