Problem: Why do my existing applications return error -10403 after I upgrade my data acquisition (DAQ) hardware? Solution: The most likely reason this error occurs after upgrading your DAQ device is that you replaced your Legacy MIO device with an E Series MIO device. E Series devices use the DAQ-STC counter chip, while most Legacy boards use the 9513 counter chip. DAQ-STC counters and 9513 counters use different NI-DAQ functions. The 9513 counters use the CTR functions, while the DAQ-STC counters use the GPCTR functions. You must replace the CTR functions with the GPCTR functions.
