NI-488.2 version 2.5.5 for Mac OS X Does not Include the C Language Interface

Problem:
The installer for previous versions of NI-488.2 for Mac OS X would install an interface for using the NI-488.2 driver with appliations. Where does version 2.5.5 keep these files?

Solution:
Due to a recently discovered problem with the installer, no language interface is installed for C. The cib.o object file attached to this knowledgebase can be used to compile your appliations.
  1. Verify that GCC version 3.3 or later is installed
  2. Place the cib.o object file with the appliation source files.
  3. Use the following command to compile:
    cc source.c cib.o -framework NI488 -framework CoreFoundation -o application
