Transferring DASYLab Data to Microsoft Excel

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>DASYLab
Primary Software Version: 6.00.03
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: How do I transfer single values that are calculated in DASYLab Microsoft EXCEL ?

Solution: Use the DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) modules. A DDE connection consists of a server (passive part) and a client (active part).
To establish a DDE connection to EXCEL, create a DDE Output module where DASYLab is the client, because EXCEL can not control the connection.
The second step is to define EXCEL as the server application and define the topic as the name of the EXCEL spreadsheet. Use the Browse button to find and insert both. EXCEL and the target spreadsheet file must be open.
Then, you have to type in the exact reference for the target cell in the Item field. You cannot use EXCEL's default cell addressing, i.e. B2; instead use the Row-Column style, i.e. R2C2 for the cell B2 (second row, second column). The abbreviation of row and column depends on the EXCEL language version; the German version uses Z and S. You should use a block size of 1, because the target is only one field. Limit the sample rate to 10 Hz or less to reliably send the data via DDE
