Incorrect Analog Input Readings with Isolated CompactDAQ ModulesHardware: CompactDAQ>>Analog Input Modules>>NI 9205
Problem: When I perform a differential analog input with an NI 9205 my readings jump from reading in the correct voltage to zero. How do I fix this? Solution: With isolated analog CompactDAQ modules this is expected behavior until you make a connection to the module's COM. Each module will have a wiring section inside the operating instructions manual. Several manuals can be found below. Inside this section for the 9205, the following connection diagram can be found. As seen below, for a differential input a connection to the COM pin must be made.
