Does the NI USB-5132/5133 Support Multiple Record Acquisition?

Problem:
Does the NI USB-5132/5133 support multiple record acquisition?

Solution:
The NI USB-5132/5133 does not support multi-record acquisition. In addition, continuous acquisition is only supported in NI-SCOPE 3.6 or later. See KB 5H6DIQDE below for more details.

The only way to achieve multiple record acquisition with the NI USB-5132/5133 is to reconfigure the session in software. This would be comparable to the function of the Soft Front Panel (SFP) or the Configured Acquisition shipping example provided with the NI-SCOPE driver. By adding a loop around the NI-SCOPE session configuration, the software will reconfigure the session after you finish fetching your current record.

The overall data rate you can sustain will be system dependent and therefore benchmarks for the NI USB-513x are provided below for several system configurations. In each case the data was fetched in the raw 8 bit binary format (I8).

For 1-channel acquisition, the data transfer rate corresponds to the sample rate (i.e. X MB/s = X MS/s). For 2-channel acquisition, the data transfer rate corresponds to twice the sample rate on a single channel (i.e. X MB/s = X/2 MS/s).
