Adding An ENET Device On A Macintosh

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

Problem:
I want to connect an ENET-232 device to my Mac, but there is no Measurement & Automation Explorer on a Macintosh.  What should I do?

Solution:
Although there is no Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) on Macintosh computers, there are tools available that come bundled with National Instruments software to add connected devices.  To get to these tools go to Applications»National Instruments»NI-VISA»NI-VISA Configuration shown below.

Click the Add Static Resource button (only displays Add St… on button) and select ENET - Serial Box (shown in the following two screen shots)

The user can now point to their device using the IP Address (shown below) and configure all of their port settings.  Click OK to add it to your system. You can now use the device.
