Problem: How to use the Universal Device Interface (UDI) in DIAdem Solution: The Universal Device Interface (UDI) is a DIAdem DAC interface that program functions and device drivers can use to access any computer interfaces. External measurement devices that are connected to an interface in the computer can be integrated into DIAdem with a minimum of programming effort. The aim of developing UDI was to achieve uniform and interface-independent access to computer interfaces. Uniform access means the user does not have to develop separate routines for each communication interface. Another advantage of UDI is that you do not have to specify one particular interface during development. You can select the interface later by setting parameters for the developed function or for the driver. Therefore, you can access devices with interfaces that were not intended for this device, or implemented in it, when the device driver was developed. Related Links: Attachments:
