What is the Value of +5V I/O Connector Pin on PCI-6515 when Input to VCC is Less Than 10VDC?

Hardware: Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PCI-6512, Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PCI-6514, Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PXI-6513, Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PXI-6514, Digital I/O (DIO)>>Isolated>>PXI-6515

Problem: In the specifications for the PCI-6515 it is mentioned that the +5V I/O connector pin will output 5V if VCC is greater than 10VDC, but what happens when the input to VCC is between 5V and 10V?

Solution: The table below shows the values of the output on the +5V I/O pin connector when VCC is between 5V and 10V.

VCC +5V I/O Connector Pin
10V 5V
9V 5V
8V 5V
7V 5V
6.5V 4.8V
6V 4.4V
5.5V 4.1V
5V 3.5V

From above you can see that till around 7V the voltage at the +5V I/O Pin Connector stays at 5V. It starts dropping below 5V at around 6.5
