How do I center a table in an HTML file using the Report Generation VI’s in LabVIEW?

Problem: I have been editing my HTML file and adding align = "center" to my code to center my tables. Can I do this programmatically in LabVIEW?

Solution: Yes, you can. Use the following process:

Edit Append Text Table to Report.vi:

  1. In the block diagram of the VI, go to the HTML case
  2. Open HTML Report Labeled String Table.vi and go to the block diagram
  3. Open HTML Report Table.vi and go to the block diagram
  4. Add an HTML Report Text Tag Attribute.vi and change the label input to ALIGN and the value input to CENTER
  5. In order to differentiate the edited VI’s from the shipped VI’s:

    1. Save HTML Report Table.vi as HTML Centered Report Table.vi
    2. Save Append Text Table to Report.vi as Append Centered Text Table to Report.vi

Other attributes like CELLSPACING and CELLPADDING can be executed programmatically by using the same method.
