My RT Series PXI-DAQ Card Fails to Reboot

Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PCI-7030/6533

Problem: The Real Time (RT) DAQ board fails to reboot upon an inital connection when choosing it as the execution target.

Solution: If your RT Series PXI-DAQ card or PCI-DAQ card fails to reboot then you can try the following steps to remedy the problem.

  1. Shutdown your computer and unplug the computer from the power supply.
  2. Remove the RT Sereis DAQ card.
  3. Startup your computer.
  4. Shutdown the computer again and unplug the power supply.
  5. Re-insert the RT Sereis DAQ card.


The card should now work. If it does not and you have access to another computer with NI-DAQ and LabVIEW Real-Time, try using the RT Sereis DAQ Card in the other computer. If you do not have access to another computer, try re-installing NI-DAQ.
