The Measurement Studio UI ActiveX Control Has Errors If the Only Feature Installed is Microsoft Visual C++ UI on Windows 2000 Primary Software: Measurement Studio>>Visual Basic SupportPrimary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: 8.0 Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: If I have only Microsoft Visual C++ UI on Windows 2000, and I try to use the Measurement Studio UI ActiveX control, I recieve errors. How can I fix this? Solution: The issue is that the MSVCP60.dll is not installed with the Visual C++ UI feature. However, MSVCP60.dll is installed with other Visual C++ features, such as DataSocket and 3DGraph. The MSVCP60.dll seems to come preloaded on Windows XP.
There are two different workarounds:1. Rerun the installer in Modify mode and select DataSocket or the 3DGraph features. You run the installer in Modify mode by selecting Start>>Control Panel>>Add or Remove Programs. Select National Instruments Software and click Change. In the National Instruments Software dialog box, select the Measurement Studio installer and click Modify. 2.If you do not want to rerun the installer, you can add the attached MSVCP60.DLL to the System32 directory.Related Links: Attachments:
