Can the SCC-ACC01 Module be Used with Any Integrated Circuit Piezoelectric Device?

Hardware: SCC>>Modules>>SCC-ACC01

Problem: I have several integrated circuit piezoelectric transducers that I would like to acquire data from; however, they are not all accelerometers. I have several SCC-ACC01 modules and would like to know if I can use these modules with other integrated circuit piezoelectric compatible sensors?

Solution: Yes, the ACC01 module is designed to read a voltage signal from any integrated circuit piezoelectric sensor that is compatible with the specifications of the module. The key parameters of the ACC01 are as follows:
  • Input Channels : 1 Differential

  • Input Range : +/- 5 V

  • Constant-current source (excitation) : 4 mA

  • Maximum voltage level (excitation) : 24 V

As long as the integrated circuit piezoelectric sensor being used is compatible with the above specifications (please refer to the ACC01 manual – linked to below – for the complete specifications), then you will be able to acquire the signal.
