Running SystemBuild as Non-Administrator Gives Warning "Failed to update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT."

Problem: When I try to start SystemBuild as a non-administrator on Windows, for examples with only User privileges, I get a message warning "Failed to update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT." I get the same message when I open the Palette Browser.

Solution: When the message appears, click OK and SystemBuild will run with out problems. This message will only come up the first time that you start SystemBuild or the Palette Browser in a given session. If you close SystemBuild and reopen it you will not see the message again. The same with the Palette Browser.

MATRIXx 7.1 has been fixed so that the message no longer appears. See the related links for information on getting an update.
