DataSocket 4.1 Loses Its Connection When System Time Changes

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>DataSocket
Primary Software Version: 4.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I have a DataSocket connection sending data between two computers or one computer using localhost. While sending data through DataSocket, I manually or programmatically change the system clock in Windows. If I change the time by more than a minute or so, I lose the DataSocket connection.

Solution: Fixed in LabVIEW 7.1 and DataSocket 4.2, which ships with LabVIEW 7.1. Visit the Upgrade Advisor (linked below) to upgrade LabVIEW.

The issue occurs only with LabVIEW 7.0 and DataSocket 4.1, which ships with LabVIEW 7.0. This issue does not occur in previous versions of LabVIEW regardless of the version of the DataSocket Server. The issue is related to LabVIEW timing out the process due to the time change.
