Error -200077 when Setting the Input Limits in Test Panels for a SCXI-1120 or SCXI-1121Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1120
Problem: My SCXI-1120 or SCXI-1121 is returning an error or only measuring a rising input voltage until it approaches approximately 8.2 volts. What is wrong? Solution: The SCXI-1120 and SCXI-1121 have a maximum +/-5 V input limit unless you use the SCXI-1327 attenuator terminal block. Even though your data acquisition board may have a higher input limit, you cannot accurately measure voltages of greater magnitude than 5 V. So, if you need to read signals above +/-5 V, you need to use the SCXI-1327 attenuator terminal block. Also, an error message may appear when using the SCXI-1120 or SCXI-1121 modules within the Test Panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Even if the software properties and hardware jumpers are configured properly for these modules, the Max Input Limit or Min Input Limit will return an error if the value you attempt to set is above or below +/-5 V. This error will appear similarly to the picture below, and can be avoided by selecting an input range and hardware/software gain settings that will result in values that are within the +/-5 V range.
