Deploying NI-VISA Stand-Alone Applications in Solaris

Problem:
I want to run LabVIEW stand-alone applications in Solaris but there is not an NI-VISA Run-Time engine for the Solaris operating system.

Solution:
There is not an NI-VISA Run-Time engine available for Solaris.  However, installing the standard NI-VISA driver will allow programs to run detached from the development environment.  You must first download and install version 2.0.1 because the most current version of NI-VISA for Solaris does not have an installer.  Once version 2.0.1 is installed, you may download and install the current version as a patch to version 2.0.1.  This will be sufficient to run stand-alone LabVIEW applications requiring NI-VISA on Solaris systems.
