Is There an Error Log File for my Real-Time Controller?

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

Problem:
My Real-Time controller keeps crashing, but I am not getting any error information. Is there an error log file anywhere which stores error information?

Solution:
There is a lvrt_err_log.txt error file created when the controller crashes. This information is a dump from the controller and can be useful in troubleshooting the cause of the crash.

To access this file
  1. Open Measurement & Automation Explorer and expand Remote Systems
  2. Right-click your remote system and select View Error Log.This will open the RT Target Error dialog window.
  3. Select the LabVIEW RT session you want to view to display the error log. To save an error log to your local machine left-click the Create Report button.
