Issue Details

How can I update firmware of the NI USB-TC01 to the latest version?

I have a USB-TC01 that is compatible for DAQmx 14.1 and I am trying to use it with LabVIEW 2017.

I recently updated my NI software and whenever I run a self-test on or try to use the test panels on the USB-TC01 that was working before the upgrade I get the message: 
  
Status Code: -201165 
Firmware for this device is too old. 

Upgrade the firmware for this device.

Solution

In order to update the firmware for the USB-TC01, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Download and install the latest version of the NI InstantDAQ Firmware Update Utility .
  2. Plug in your NI USB-TC01 device after installing the NI InstantDAQ Firmware Update Utility.
  3. Run the firmware update utility by going to Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI-DAQ»NI InstantDAQ»NI InstantDAQ Firmware Update Utility.
  4. Click Update and wait for the update to complete. After the update is complete the NI InstantDAQ software will auto run unless you have this Windows setting disabled.
Note: Plug your NI USB-TC01 directly into your computer. If the NI USB-TC01 is plugged into a USB hub, the update may not be successful.
